I have heard many people quoted as saying that they use porn with their spouse to light the fire in the bedroom. Porn brings unwanted guests into your bedroom. When you and your spouse make love, this is a special expression between you two. Bringing other people in via porn causes feelings of inadequacy – does he or she perform or look better than me? Will he resent me if I don’t want to act like that porn star? When you start to emulate the themes that run throughout pornography (the woman is an object of pleasure) will you be honoring your wife or degrading her? We have imaginations large enough to dream up fun as a couple and we don’t need to bring the negativity of porn into our bedrooms. You will be more uninhibited when you and your wife are alone.
I was first exposed to this monster called porn at the age of 9. I didn’t know what was taking place at the time. Satan planted a seed, and during my teen years, he placed the right people in my life to help that seed grow. I had a friend who’s dad was a truck driver. He had a sorts of porno magazines. Brother if I could turn back the hands of time. I became sexually active at age 12. I thought I could break this habit a few years ago, but it has grown worse. I have prayed, cried, etc. I’m tired!!!!
Unfortunately many are exposed to pornography at an early age. That seed of lust grows stronger as we get addicted to this drug. It is a tiring fight to defeat it. You will need lots of help, prayer and motivation.
